Brooklyn Scouts is an inclusive organization dedicated to providing a “back to Basics” Scouting program to Brooklyn youth and their families. We welcome everyone regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, class, ability, religion (or no religion), or other differentiating factors. We are part of the Outdoor Service Guides (OSG), a national volunteer-run Scouting organization. Brooklyn Scouts has five age-based levels of participation (Chipmunks, Otters, Timberwolves, Pathfinders and Rovers), all of which are co-ed and include participants and leaders of all genders.
Brooklyn Scouts (and their families) participate in camping trips, nature and culture outings, service projects, fundraising and regular meetings. The curriculum for all Scouts includes environmental conservation, wildlife recognition, woodcraft, orienteering, first aid/safety and camp skills.
